One of CPS Biofuels' founders first influenced the biofuel community in 1995 with the invention of an improved biofuel as described under US Patent no. 5,578,090 "Biodiesel fuel".

CPS has a team of dedicated individuals with experience in development and research, petrochemicals, process and business integration, market intelligence, industry standards, and intellectual property management that includes the biofuel and petroleum industries.

The team consists of the three founders with various supporting roles including partnerships with universities and industry.  The company is strategically located in North Carolina's Research Triangle Park area where we are just minutes from 3 major universities (Duke, North Carolina State, and UNC Chapel Hill), with strong ties to the Hampton Roads, Virginia area.  Laboratories, biofuel production facilities, and agricultural processors in this region are dedicated to this biofuel production endeavour.
